Grant has first gliding lesson

Grant from Queensland called in late this morning to enquire about having a few gliding lessons. It was about ten years ago that he and wife Peta had had scenic flights at Sportavia which they both enjoyed immensley. So after a quick lunch Grant was under the instruction of Ingo in the Blanik while Eddie towed in the EuroFox. After his flights Grant climbed out of the Blanik saying, "That was fantastic!!" He now hopes to continue with lessons next trip to Tocumwal.

Michael relishes his flight in the Blanik

Michael (top & middle) had a great flight with Eddie in the Blanik today. Fascinating to see Tocumwal from above. Terrific to catch up with Matt (above) who called in on his way through yesterday. Matt and Ally are building a new home at present -in between work, family and flying!!. Peter (almost a local) has returned to Tocumwal for a visit. Peter bought Mum, Iris up to show her our delightful town. At long last we have had some reasonable rain so Eddie has been busy planting kikuyu. It's a tough grass that will do the job in the hot Summer months with little water.
